I don't know whether to laugh or laugh louder. It's iilegal, there's money to be had and the Pattaya police are corrupt from top to bottom. It's a recipe that'll only ever produce something half baked. Afterall, the police posted to Pattaya see it as an opportunity to build their pension fund over night. Hence, they go all out to rip money from all farangs and now the going is tough; permanent low season, they are ripping off the Thais in droves with this incessant helmet bashing.

They're pathetic. Uniformed Mafia that lift, dissapear away all monies, drugs etc that are confiscated when crime busting, or as the police call it 'crime bursting' with freebies. Lovely.

Then we come to the International Gamblers on the second floor of Backstreet Hotel. When there's a police informant on every street corner, on every taxi motorbike and on every bar stool it doesn't take Einstein's reasoning to doubt you're going to get away undiscovered.

The Thais operate their own gambling system. It's called , 'storing up information' you can trade when the police drop on you. So now they are particularly heavy with everyone in order to top up their 'tea monies' those arrested Thais on minor charges are using their stay out of jail cards and giving up the farangs who use yaba, snort coke instead of drinking it, and are part of a gambling set up. Thais gamble and win - they stay free. Falangs gamble and go to jail.

And any one dumb enough to believe the rumour mill shouldn't be out on there own after dark.

Those banged up paid big. Don't you know anything? There are legal businesses here that caved in after being a guest of the Beach Road Police for a few days. A stay that went up exponentially as the days passed and the bank account was emptied instead of settling to pay 150 k straight off.

And you expect the guys who paid to come out and sing? They've been warned to shut up or they'll be re-visited.

I've no sympathy for them.

Out with friends one night someone turns up with this Brit bone head whose mouth they modelled the channel tunnel on; open 24 hours and rumbles on and on. Oh, I forgot, small money to the International Gamblers that Pattaya is famous for, along with all those above the bar living ex-pat millionaires. And the final kick in the wallet is that these bright sparklers, these assessors of the odds couldn't work out how these uneducated, illiterate, backwoods cops out smarted them. Such thinking gamblers should have stuck to golf CLUBS, gardening SPADES, bleading HEARTS and DIAMONDS? They are forever.

They should steer well clear of gambling ever again and take up heroin supply based in the S & P bakery near the Food Hall, Carrefour. If the police then drop by they can say it's just plain flour, plain or self raising flour. That's only just half baked. Or as Homer Simpson [honourary President of Pattya gamblers Ltd ] would say: 'Dough!'

alot of misonformation in this thread.....but not to me to tell how it really turned out i think nathan(who wasnt there...if he was i was there as well ) can tell exact # if he wish......i not gone do it altough i do know the exact outcome....but LOL @ some of the reply's in this thread.
