Southern provinces warned of flash floods

BANGKOK: -- The Meteorological Department Thursday warned residents of 10 southern provinces to brace themselves for heavy rains and possible flash floods.

In its daily forecast issued at 4 am, the department said heavy rains could fall in Chumphon, Surat Thani, Nakhon Si Thammarat, Phatthalung, Songkhla, Trang, Satun, Pattani, Yala and Narathiwat.

The heavy rains would be unleashed by the strong monsoon over the Gulf of Thailand and Andaman.

We here in NST have had nice weather all day long... Now for the last 4 days it has been pissing down... Flood in my neighbours house, my kitchen ceiling fell down...

Ok, better late than never (guess it will rain as soon as I enter this).
