Tokay
I've seen some crap jobs around down and I've seen some nice and well painted sliding doors. Anyone have experience painting these? Anything in particular needed, a special primer or base coat for the paint to stick better? Brand names you recommend? My fear is the paint will quickly flake off due to the door opening and closing every day. Thanks.
wimpy
I sprayed mine with automobile lacquer and then a clear coat on top. No primer, just a good wipe down with lacquer thinner. This was on a brand new door. It has been about 4 years now with no peeling or flaking. Edited November 13, 2009 by wimpy
