Tourist Visa In Kl

Featured Replies

Any of you guys went to KL for a tourist visa?

Any problems there or smooth sailings in and out.

Is it possible to have the visa application one day pick it up next day?

Will be landing in KL at 10am would that give me time to get the application in in time? Is it till 12 or 13.00 you can apply?

Any info would be appreciated am going on the 24th.

Dirk

Believe the consular section is open until 11:30 in the mornings to receive visa applications, and collect next day after 14:30. But there is conflicting information on the MFA's website regarding opening hours and, given your expected arrival time, I would suggest giving the consulate a call to check as time may be tight.

There's one clerk there that many have said to try to avoid. Last time I was there, she was the one on the far left and, as luck would have it, my number comes up and she calls it. She is not friendly and will peruse your passport in detail, and if applying for another tourist visa, will give you a "warning" (she told me "this is the last time") if she sees more than one already in your passport. That was two years ago and I haven't gone back to that consulate since, but she might still be there. So, be forewarned...
