At this moment I do not have a health insurance, I am 30 years, from Europe working in Bangkok and do not travel much, I am healthy.

My friend broke his leg and that was a bit more expensive than I thought that would be so I am interested in a health insurance, which health insurance do you have and what does it cost per year?

They told me that Bupa is a good insurance, which one to take?

Thank you so much

My recommendation for someone your age is to get BUPA's Personal Care 09 - The Emarld 08 Program (For Hospitalization only).

Age 21 - 30........... Annual Premium 11,061 baht............ Maxium Payable In-Patient Benefit of 500,000 baht

Age 31 - 35........... Annual Premium 12,552 baht

500,000 baht is a good enough coverage for a young man like you.

As you get older you should up your coverage and of course the higher the coverage the higher your premium will be.

Find any BUPA or AA Insurance Broker..... they're everywhere.

Good luck

We would agree BUPA is a good company, along with several others e.g. LMG, AXA, Thai Health and so on.

What it boils down to is which benefits most suit your own requirements as we all have different needs, budgets, expectations etc etc.

The most sensible way to go is via a Broker and naturally we at Thai Visa recommend out own 'in house' Broker, please see Here

sorry, personally

the premium quoted seems to be very expensive to own, when compared with other insurance companies.

a few months ago, i chose a company with comparable payouts but the premium is much less....

and to date, i received two refunds from this insurance company already.... one on hospitalization stay and the other one was on emergency room visit as an out patient....

no, i am not an insurance agent in thailand, even though i did have a license in the u.s., and i have no personal interest in this company either....

pm or email me if you want to investigate other thai reliable insurance companies not cited here....
