Morning Folks,

Lets say you had 5.5 Million Baht available as investment capital to start a Thai based business, what kind of business would interest you and what kind of business do you think has the potential to be a winner?

Same question for the 11 million question.

Cheers

I would put it in forex, keep the money out of Thailand, work minimal hours, and have the freedom to travel when/where you want.

I enjoy business and this would be to keep me busy. Also, its money that can be 'lost' as I believe any Thai based business should be potentially viewed as a worst case scenario.

Yes, of course - no bars!

Just talk to some Thai friends. They will have plenty of ideas and I bet will even be willing to help you out and become a partner, manager, etc.

I'm sure it will keep you busy and you probably won't have to worry about that money burning a hole in your pocket much longer.

Not sure that I've met many folks that get into a business with an outlook that they are probably going to lose money, but good luck anyway.

Maybe invest in something that you could do as a hobby?

Go cart track? Driving range? Public fish ponds? Public pool? Motor bike drag stip.

the pound is depreciating,

Gold shop.

Won't make much money from customers, but your stock will likely appreciate enough to make up for it. This would only be practical for the 11 million baht option. 5.5 would probably not provide enough inventory.
