November 15, 200916 yr I posted this info recently on a thread in another forum, but I thought I'd mention it here, too, for good measure. The question is often asked where one can find reliable sources of distilled water in Thailand for medicinal purposes. Some have relied upon "automotive section" varieties when no other source has been apparent. Well, your prayers have been answered now because the source has been right under your nose the whole time: a common brand of drinking water found at practically all 7-11 stores in Thailand that goes by the name of Cooly Fresh. It comes in a clear bottle with a wrap-around green label, and a small, blue "ying-yang" symbol on the side denoting that is U.V. / R.O. water. Compared to the "automotive brands" of DW (found at Tesco Lotus and most gas stations) which test out to be 4-5 ppm (using a Hanna TDS1 meter), the Cooly Fresh comes in at an ultra-pure 1 ppm! And since it's drinking water to begin with, you can rest assured ingestion is perfectly safe (unlike with the aforementioned variety). Just thought I'd mention this for future reference. Cheers and good health to you.
November 20, 200916 yr Well done, Ballz! Thanks for passing that along. I need it in the winter for my CPAP machine - wake up with the dreaded dry mouth otherwise. Good timing ;-)
November 20, 200916 yr destilled water (and rainwater - even clean one) are not healthy for daily consumption and should be drank only if no other water is available. What is perfect for a medicine, or a car, is not good for us. the source of minerals for body are foods, as well as water - in a hot climate, like thailand, minerals are even more important, because we loose them in sweat

So, drinking R.O. or distilled water should not be an issue.
