Where have you been using it? I have been reading reports of people having location specific problems with their iPhone in Thailand.

November 26, 200916 yr Dtac is by far the best for internet on your phone. True is the worst as with all true products...I avoid true at all cost on anything they offer.

This has come up a few times now. Go to settings, and 1 - Turn off Notifications 2 - Turn off all automated email checking in the email settings. Set it to manual for all accounts. After that, the phone will connect to the internet only when you use the web browser or check email, or do anything else that requires internet access.
