Visa For Uk

Featured Replies

Hi Can anyone give advise? ...my girlfriend lives in Thailand with my son who is nine months old .....I have two questions, 1/ I would like my girlfriend and son to come to the uk for one months holiday, she has her own house and assets in Thailand she also has her own passport and has travelled Asia, my question is what is the best way to apply for a visa? would it be best for her to apply by herself and not involve me? .....question 2/ my son has my surname is he eligible for dual nationality and a uk passport? many thanks

Apply for your sons UK passport then apply for a tourist visa for your partner.

As above dual nationality is a bonus (quick entry to UK and Thailand by using different passports). If your g/f owns property a tourist visa should be straight forward.

Looking way ahead you may need to decide on Uk or dual nationality later as Thai boys may be called for national service in Thailand!!! This is something my brother and Thai sister in law are discussing at the moment because of my nephews!!! (Sorry not very relevent for this post but important to consider!!)
