I'm just about to buy an electric benchtop cooker (with ceramic top), however I'm unfamiliar with the local brands.

Does anyone know if there any I should be wary of ? Or perhaps some that are known to be long-lasting ?

Or perhaps I should just go to Tesco or Robinsons and pick one which is not too cheap, not too expensive ?
