Non B Visa 1 Multiple Entry Versus Single Entry

Featured Replies

Hi all

I've found this posting to be of high interest (found in the thread Non B 1 year visa):

Most countries within region will only issue single entry visa as they expect you to apply for extension of stay based on employment at Thai immigration.

KL will issue multiple entry visa with at least 8 months remaining on WP. Penang will issue too at long as company registered capital is at least 8 million baht. Have seen recent report of success in Kota Bharu too.

I work in a private school, how does this apply to me? my 3 month non-B visa ends soon at end of Nov this year.

Can anyone advise me? Thanks in advance.

Regards

If you have a work permit and are a teacher you should be able to get an extension of stay from immigration in Thailand, with the correct paperwork.

You should be talking to your school now to get the paperwork together to apply for extension of stay based on employment before your current permission to stay expires (date shown on the immigration entry stamp in your passport, not your visa expiry date).
