Ok so its a couple months old already, but this slipped by me and I didn't hear any hoo-ha about it.

Draft n approved.

Anyone got suggestions for a good draft-n router. Ideally, I don't suppose there's anything like an 'n' version of the WRT54GL in the works?

These have been available for some time. I have a Linksys 350N Wirless router (I think Now discontinued) that has wireless N Gigabit ethernet, and support USB drives for sharing data over the network

It as many problems, There is now a WRT610N is maybe a better better bet

Here for more Linksys N routers

From this link

A working group is preparing to propose what may eventually be known as IEEE 802.11 VHT (Very High Throughput), in what some call the successor to 802.11n. Two working groups each are suggesting proposals to push throughput in excess of one gigabit per second, roughly ten times that of the 802.11n specification.

well news of wireless N approved really didn't suprise me although I've been running Wireless Internet N in my home since last year I've got a

Belkin N1 Vision Wireless Router ( expensive at 4000 - 5000 baht )

D Link Usb Wireless N ( since my labtops don't have wireless N built in yet )

I can tell you one thing from my point I've really enjoyed Wifi N, I only wish my mobile phones though had a new wifi chipset that would support 802.11 N instead of Wifi G.

What are you running on your phone that needs that kind of bandwidth? G is several times faster than any internet connection available in Thailand, unfortunately.

I use a TP-Link 941ND, bought it in China and changed the firmware to English. It cost 25 US Dollars and has better reception than most N routers at 5X the price. The only downside is the LAN is 10/100 and not gigabit. But for my usage it doesn't matter. Now the have the new 1043N model with gigabit ports.
