Tourist Visa Still Valid If You Fly And Come Back

Hi guys just wondering, if you have a tourist visa for Thailand, and you decided that you wanted to fly to Hong Kong for a few days and come back, do they terminate your visa as you leave, or is it still valid for when you arrive back. Look forward for your help

You will need a re-entry permit at your immigration office, cost 1000 baht.

If you return without it you will be given a 30-day visa exempt stamp.

Just in the process of getting a 1 year visa and when you say get a Re-Entry permit from immigration are they situated at the Airport?

They are routinely issued, so should not be a problem. You need to obtain from your local immigration office. If you are in Bangkok you will need to go to the immigration office at Chaeng Wattana.

Re-entry permits are not availeble at the airport. You have to go to your own immigration office. In your case you can go to a immigration office, as you are not residing in Thailand.

The cost would be 1,000 baht for a single and 3,800 baht for a multiple. Don't forget to bring a photo of yourself, passport size.

You could apply for a new tourist visa in Hong Kong.

They are free at the moment.

You need to clarify what kind of visa you had and you want.

If you came with a tourist visa single entry then indeed it is used and dead at the moment you enter.

Later on you indicate to apply for one year visa : this is no longer a tourist visa but a Non Immigrant Visa for which you have different types but for which you require to explain what you are going to do in Thailand if you have the money resources to do so.
