Yes, the same with that St. Augustine. I have a lawn in an L shape, 40 x 20 yards on one side and 50 x 25 on the other. Takes a lot of water as the soil is porous down a little, and evaporates quick unless I water near dark. I had all types on grass, including Malay but the St. Augustine takes over with it's runners eventually. I have a well but using the pump daily, with a fear of the well going too low in those hot months has me watering every three days just to keep it alive during those months. The electric bill also doubles if I do. If this was a house i would be staying in longer I would do more, but it's the only lawn within 20 miles of here at least, and the locals like it. My ex didn't understand why I wanted the grass, as she's from here, but the compliments she received taught her what it meant. I let her cousin in the closest house from me 300 yards away have his buffalo eat it sometimes.
