Buying A Guitar Amp In Bkk

There's an area in Chinatown called 'Wearng' here you will find the best stocked music shops in town.

Much better priced than the lousy ones you find in department stores etc.

I bought my own son recently a Fender Mini Amp for only 3,000 Baht.

Cheers.

Be advised there are many Fender and Marshall amps sold here made in China and not the real thing.

If the price seems to good to be true, it is because it is a Chinese copy.

Fortune Mall on Ratchadapisek Road on the bottom floor has lots of guitar shops

Maybe can find something there.

Good Advice: Try Proplugin.com. Joe is the owner. Very straight up and honest.

Have purchased from them for years. The also deliver.

Looked at Proplugin.com, has a nice little Fender Frontman (amp) 10G for 2500bht, do you reckon that would be an orignal?

Get the boy a Orange the new minis are out of this world. How long has he been playing? Just starting then I would go cheap if he is sticking with it then get a little tube amp. I still have my Fender 1969 Bassman and it will be here when I am gone. Built like a tank. PS. I like the shop called Rock something in Central World and there a used shop near Coco walk down the road from MBK. I think its called Music Society.

There use to be a guitar shop in the "World Trade Centre" or "Central World", does anyone know the name of that shop, & if they sell guitar amps?

Maybe they have a web site?

Thanks for all the good advice & help guys.

There are three:Capital Music, Music Concept and Rock Planet. Music Concept is the Fender distributer -- amongst other brands. Rock Planet has a variety of brands, sizes and prices.
