Pedal Go Karts For Kids

Featured Replies

Does anyone know of any shops in Bangkok or close by that sell quality metal framed/pneumatic tyred pedal go karts for kids?

The type I am after have an adjustable seat which allows kids from 3-8 years old to use the kart.

I am not interested in any nasty, plastic Chinese made thing, but I fear that's all that is available in Thailand! (based on my search so far)

Any ideas?

Thanks

Just get him one of those ones racing ones with the 250cc engine and he could be the next Lewis Hamilton.

Agree that plastic crap should be avoided, as should batteries of course. Battery powered "toy-carts" for 2-5 year olds are for fat white rich Thai kids whose parents think they are doing the right thing by protecting them from exercise. Kids should pedal themselves

Let me see if I got this right. It's what I had when I was a kid... Metal frame go kart type pedal car with 4 wheels, the one I loved so much I never allowed anyone to borrow

Difficult to find, does not exist at department stores at all, too low-class I suppose. The place to go would be big "a little bit lower class" local markets, there are permanent "type bicycle shops" that may have them. If I understand you correctly, then I have seen what you want, I don't know if it had pneumatic wheels and may not be big enough for 8 year olds though, 6 years rather.

Talad Huaykwang - Go Ratchadaphisek north, pass Carrefour and Robinson, turn left at Huaykwang intersection - over the bridge - go straight on and pass the first small intersection after the bridge and then turn left at the second intersection - go straight on 150 - 200 meters or so and there is a bicycle shop on the left hand side. If you can't find a parking, then turn left (when the road turns right) and go another lap.

I have bought 2 3-wheelers for my daughter there, wanted to buy the pedal car but she was too young I suppose and didn't want it. They had 2 types the last time I was there (a year ago or so). One red nice metal frame pedal car and one yellow Formula 1 pedal car. The red one was much sturdier and nicer. Can't remember the price, the red one was between 1,500 and 2,000 bath most likely

Did you by chance get the phone number from the receipt?

I can't remember if I didn't get the receipt or didn't keep it, sorry don't have a phone number.
