No Frills airline at this price is cheap ?

all services on board extra , food , tv , drinks , etc etc ...

i know the timing is going to push the prices up but 1100 quid on a no frills airline seems a joke .

I think OP means the opposite to that which he is saying, ie sarcasm.

Could be wrong and he thinks it is a good price??? :)

a week ago a have bought thai lhr-bkk £680 departing xmas day, valid for 1 month.

there were other airlines, quatar and emirates, departing around 18.12 for below around £700.

simply you were looking in a wrong place or a little too late

Supply and demand.......xmas travel usually above discounted rates...and as said above late booking too!

Air Asia are well known for advertising cheap flights but once you add on all the taxes & other misc costs they are one of the most expensive imo for what you get. Book emirates or EVA & get decent service too.

Also note the GBP tax element of the ticket price, outrageous.

yup

I just flew Air Asia this week Udon Thani-Bangkok_Udon Thani with my wife, paid 913 baht, one 15 kg bag.

Have booking Udon-Phuket Jan 2010 return 2 pax 2x15kg for 2200 baht.

You better check your facts before posting rubbish :)

did you read the op? We are talking about international routes from UK which are always quoted as a good deal till they start adding tax, baggage, food, drinks etc so hardly rubbish, you have quoted a domestic promotion which has nothing to do with this op.

I have just returned to Thailand after flying BKK-KL-STN return with AirAsia.

Price was just under 19k bht which was incredibly cheap compared with other airlines and booking in Thailand.

I had to book last February as soon as the flights became available.

The cheapies disappear very quickly but if you keep looking there are bargains to be had.

Low cost deals are few and far between using AA if booking at the last minute.

i also got a great deal with air asia flying KL-STN, 15000baht return, with 25kg luggage and exit seats both ways. :)

they do some fantastic deals if you know six months in advance the exact dates you wanna go. if you leave it till the last minute though, they are nothing special.
