This might be of interest:

Yesterday I went to the immigration in Pattaya to get a resident certificate needed to renew my driving license. Contrary to the information I saw on different places in the internet the procedure was the following:

Immigration:

NEW FOR ME: I got a form to fill in and was asked to produce the following:

Photocopies of passport (page with photo, one year visa, arrival card and entry registration stamps)

Proof of residence (photocopy of house registration book or letter from landlord…)

2 photos

As I arrived on Friday at only 11h30 I had to wait till 1 o’clock to start waiting (1 hour!) till my turn.

I had to pay 200 Baht (no receipt) and was told to get the certificate of residence on the following Monday morning.

Now I wonder if I have to produce not only the medical attest but all the above photocopies as well….
