Colour me confused,is a dog guard the same as a roo guard in Oz?

For anyone confused about a roo guard in Oz, it's a big steel grill in the front of your truck for hitting the kangaroos that frequent the roadways. I have no idea what a dog guard is, but DO know what a guard dog is. To me a dog guard is a heavy length of green bamboo for whacking the nasty dogs.

Haven't seen any for sale here, but you may consider to design one yourself and then have one made.

I have seen a couple, here in Chiang Mai, but do not know where they were made and who had them in their car.
