thaimiller
I was riding the bike round the moat this morning and saw this. I think the engine may be flooded,

gotlost
They must pull out a dozen in a year from the moat and a few bodies, plus motor bikes.

Ricardo
Isn't that the new low-cost car-wash ? How many times do they 'dip' it, to clean off the suds ?
Damman1
Its nothing serious sir- just a touch of water in the carburettor !
IanForbes
Thanks for the laugh. You other guys beat me to the car wash reply. However, seeing how some people drive here it doesn't surprise me. But, it's not always the person going into the moat that is at fault. Too often they were forced there by some other idiot driving recklessly.
PhilHarries
I was going to ask something really dumb like "how the <deleted> did someone end up in the drink there?" but then thought TiT so will ask what bait did he use to catch that one? Johpa
I was going to ask something really dumb like "how the <deleted> did someone end up in the drink there?" Perhaps we have members who originate from Amsterdam who can explain how cars end up in the water.
xen
I was looking at the photo and i notice that they have just put the outrigger legs of the crane truck straight onto the concrete pavers without using timbers to distibute the weight load. How many times do You see collasped pavements in LOS ?. If the pavement gives way then there are 3 under the crane as it topples into the canal . Just another example of a lack of workplace safety we see everyday in LOS. I wonder who is more stupid- the person who drove into the canal or the "rescue team " ? It is a great photo though

Personally I drink before setting-off for home, rather than en-route, perhaps the driver wanted more water with his whisky ?

VerbalKint
Perhaps we have members who originate from Amsterdam who can explain how cars end up in the water. In Amsterdamned they don't park as often in the moat as in Chiang Mai. Might have something to do with that little piece of paper they call Rijbewijs
KevinHunt
Its nothing serious sir- just a touch of water in the carburettor ! That reminds me of the other old joke .. Mechanic: No problem Sir, just shit in the carburettor. Customer: That's good, but how often should I do it? I reckon I've seen a car in the moat at least 3 or 4 times over the years. eek
Oh MY! Reminds me of last year. My bf and his daughter said they witnessed a car just casually drive head first into the moat. They said it was like something out of a movie. Well..im guessing from the pic that no one was hurt. Would have been a rather wet and chilly landing when getting out though!
