Bangkok To Phuket And Back By Bus

Featured Replies

Hi,

I need to get info. on getting a bus to Phuket from Bangkok. I need to know where the bus station is, the departing times, the trip duration and cost. Any other information will also be useful.

I am also a long legged bastard, so is there anything I can do for extra leg room?

Thank You

Skytrain to Victoria Monument, exit 3.

Bus #s 515, 539 + many others to the Southern Bus Terminal "sai tai mai" about 28kms West of BKK.

Get a VIP bus.

Both air-conditioned and regular buses leave the Southern Bus Terminal in Bangkok daily. For the 24 seat VIP bus (the blue luxury one), it takes 14 hours to cover the 891 km to Phuket. On the return trip, buses leave Phuket bus terminal at 4.00 p.m. and 8.00 p.m. and arrive in Bangkok at dawn.

Cost ? Call the terminal..... Tel +66 (0) 2 434 7192, 434 5557 to 8

Google is your friend...... use it :)

Be sure to get a VIP bus, you don't want to sitting in a third class bus for the 13+ hours!

there are no 3rd class buses, they are vip and the ordinary ones.

but they are 3rd class trains - I don't wish anybody travelling on them for more than 1-2h
