Was at the Thai Embassy in Laos 3 weeks ago to get a Tourist Visa giving

another 60 + 30 Days when I was advised by a fellow ex-pat to get a Double

as they were Free. With 2 entries does this mean leaving after 60, doing a

Border U-Turn and getting another 60 or what....?

You can do that or you can extend each entry 30 days making almost six months with one border crossing. But you have to make second entry before the expiration date of the visa itself.

Meaning that I can go to Immigration at the end of the 1st 60, get a 30 Day ext,

then do a Border Bounce at Nong Khai and repeat the whole procedure...

(Not wanting to sound Naive, but don't want to get it wrong....)

You must return with a valid visa so that 30 day extension will probably be several days less. You must make second entry before the date on the visa itself.

I am really confused. Sorry, but I am new to this having just gotten a 30-day extend. I plan to go to Lao during the first week in January. Does that mean that I can ask for another multiple entry visa at that time. If I leave at the end of the 60 day period to go back to the USA, can I use the second entry when I come back in October? Thanks for your reply.

just to remind that you dont have to go get the extension at the END of the 60 days. you can do it whenever after you have come into the country. wont make a difference

you have to use all the entries within 3 months of when the visa is issued

see the "enter before" date on your visa. use all entries BEFORE this date
