hello,

i have been using the newsgroups for files for the past few weeks, and it was working fine. today the downloads have stopped. has tot started blocking the newsgroup port now?

well, they aren't blocking the port, but the nzb files don't seem to be coming through, strange........

No answers just questions.

What news server are you trying to use ?

What software are you using to access the news server.

If it's a subscription news server is the some problem with your payments ?

Have you checked that your firewall is allowing connections to the NNTP port typically port 119 ?

Where abouts in Thailand are you ?

What ISP are you using ?

If you provide this info then maybe someone can help.

sorry about the lack of info, i was just wondering if anyone else was having problems with the newsgroups.....it seems to have straightened out now, have been using usenet.com, but signed up with active-news today. have tried several readers..grabit, nzb o matic, newsrover, newsleecher.

the problem was i was only downloading empty text messages, but the download meter showed me downloading the actual MB's of the file. i tried several different files and the same thing happened.
