California, that is a very strong accusation against someone "perv". People are sensitive to such names. If you have legit proof to make such accusation, then prove it. Otherwise I think you owe this person an apology. So please do stop the inuendos unless you can back it up. If you have such thinking of that nature, then keep it to yourself. How would you like it if some said something of about you especially out here in this public forum??? Think about it.

Dude, you're obviously a non-native speaker so I'll enlighten you a little. The words "pervert" and "perv" are often used as harmless colloquialisms and in a very informal sense their usage can even be complimentary.

Your suggestion that I think before posting such "insults" shows a distinct want of style. Everyone here is incognito and pseudonyms rule the day.

Do you honestly believe that there exists here in Bangkok a man whose real name is Dr Pat Pong?

California, as to your question about "Dr. Pat Pong" I cannot answer that one to you, because you have to direct that question to him. Only he can tell us.

Granted of what you say of words are used universally, but certain particular words can trully end up being mis-understood and thus might cause a mis-understanding. That is of course if one wants to say things, but for me as example, what I see makes me think much differently that what your intent or meaning is about. Get my point.????

I mean also to say this forum is read around the world my friend. Not just in Thailand, or if you say Thailand has their own meaning or phrases that is acceptable there, but maybe not acceptable say like in France or Germany.

That is why I brought this up to you so you can see the point that certain words or phrases or words can have big implications to others who view such and or read.

As example, such word as I mentioned to you in America it is referred to as a Sex Offender. Understand. In Thailand it may mean joker or pax faux, or in France something else. Every area in the world will take such context and apply such to their standards of thinking or culture.

This is the only way I can explain it to you. Hope you understand.

My kids are at school with a lad from a two-wife family. All live and run a business together and are quite open about their relationship. The second wife, a cousin of No.1, was brought in because the first wife could not conceive, (a brood mare so to speak.)

Personally I keep waiting for the s**t to fill the air conditioning.

Please forgive me for getting to the point here ...

This is really two threads in one.

Everyone is talking about cheating.

But the poster asked for advice about his situation.

His situation ....

1/ He is married

2/ The fire is gone from the union of 10 years

3/ He wants to cheat and the wife says it is ok

4/ He wants to have a family and the present wife cannot.

It is pretty clear that #4 is the overiding factor.

He needs to face the grim truth that a divorce is in order.

End of story

End of advice

Of course there is. Isn't he the person that teaches Asian Morality 101 at the Pat Pong University?

Just kidding Doc! but I do have a friend In Laos, that still wears a Pat Pong University Ring. :o

I've been told by Thai women that one of the reasons mia nois are so prevalent in Thailand is because there are so many women of marriagable status that can't find husbands. Conversely, there are fewer and fewer elligible bachelors for them to meet. They are then content with the second fiddle status. I do believe this. I have met more than a few middle aged women in Thailand who just never married for one reason or another.

I guess the key word here is 'elligible'. It could have many meanings to a woman.
