( I had a nice quiet one down by the pool with a selection of cashew nuts, peanuts and almonds, as well as a bottle of Singha and some Hong Thong and Pepsi and ice for my friend from Myanmar with whom it was a pleasure to celebrate any new year by the pool with, even though she doesn't know how to swim and went home at 23:00 - her memory will last a lot longer than that final hour) HAPPY NEW YEAR! May it be free from rogue truck accidents and stuff like that, and generally healthy, and after that, hopefully prosperous to all decent and kindhearted human beings in this world.
