Any one know when/if the Tesco Lotus in Loei is ever going to open, would be very handy.

I'm afraid that Tesco Lotus made a big mistake as far as locating a new store. Early on it became apparent that there would be opposition. Had they built a new store south of Loei on 201 near the car dealerships, they would now be open and the location would be more convenient to the nearest large town, Wang Saphung.

As it is, I don't expect to ever see it open.

And the parking plus a very busy road plus KFC does not do much for me.

There was talk of a large supermarket being built on 201 south of Loei opposite

the airport.

But talking with locals it seems to have failed , somedont wish to sell there land.

Loei is doing ok I think it has enough now only 1 & half hour to Udon for anything you need

It is rumoured that the construction work which has started just before the airport on the road into Loei is to be a Tesco/Lotus but I'm not sure how accurate that rumour is.

Good News, this construction site is going to be a new Tesco Lotus, the wife has just read the notice board outside, so in a few months should have a convenient supply of goodies, hopefully.

Any recent information on opening date for Lotus in Loei?

I drove by a couple of weeks ago and it looks like completion might be sooner rather than later.

Hope the new tesco lotus gets opened soon , as I will be staying up there for 3 Months (Marathon training) from 6th December and don't fancy going all the way to Nongkhai or Udon Thani for my farang groceries.

You must live there. I feel for you but I live 50 km from Loei and 100 km from Udorn. I am looking forward to a Lotus there.

The new store opens on 18th November at 9am HOO RAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! at last a localish supply of reasonable bread etc and nice icecream from Svensens yummy!
