15 Mths On A Multi Non B?

Featured Replies

I am in Thailand on a multiple entry non-immigrant B visa. The visa states "This visa must be used before 16 Feb 2010". My current "admitted to" date is 8 Feb 2010. The question is, if I exit and re-enter before 8 Feb will I be granted 90 days or only entry until 16 Feb? I have read on the net that I will be granted 90 days but when I questioned this with one of the foreign volunteers at Phuket immigration I was told this was incorrect. Any advice particularly from someone who has done this recently at the Ranong border would be appreciated. Thank you in advance.

Every time you enter Thailand before the visa exires you will get a new 90 days, regardless of how long the visa will still be valid.

So enter before the 16th Feb. and get a new 90 days.

Each entry you make into the Kingdom before your visa expires will give you a 90 day permission to stay. So do a border run before 16th Feb and you will be stamped in for a further 90 days.

I agree with the others, but just to clarify, you should make an exit before Feb. 8, or you would have over stayed the current permission to stay.

The volunteer is incorrect.

Anytime you enter before the visa expires you will get 90 days, have done this many times over the years. As suggested exit before you permission to stay of Feb 8th so you don't have to any problems with an overstay which is 500 baht per day.

I would do a trip now to get 90 days going passed the 8th Feb,

then another trip before the 16th Feb for a further chunk of 90 days.

Sad that the Immigration volunteers do not know the rules. :)
