milkycheese
Hi TV People, I have to get a new Thai License as my 1 year has run out. I am working out the country and do so for 3 months at a time. Can I get a renewal when I go back as I have my visa, etc, etc. Do you have to be residing in there for 3 months or can I prove that I only fly back and forth from work to Thailand? Thanyaburi Mac
No "residence" time as far as I know but you do have to have a Non-O visa of some type, not necessarily on an extension. Must say, tho, that some LTD offices seem to have let people get by with a tourist visa. Also need the "residence" letter, Embassy, Thai Immigration, amphur, your choice. No photo required as it'd digitally done and printed on the license. Bring a magazine in case you need to sit through the 45 min or so traffic safety film.
