Visa Concern - Please Advise

Recommended Posts

Early this year I made a mistake and quitted my job due to false information. I returned my work permit as well. My visa status is Non-O. (based on child support, not married). My 1y extended Non O is still good until June 3rd. Extension was granted because my employer done it for me.

I have 2 questions:

1: will the Immigration extend again without a work permit?

(I do not have 400k in my bank)

2: If I receive a new work permit in May (or apply?), another extension might be possible?

What other choice do I have not to lose my existing Non-O which is extended for almost 2 years.

Thanks

1. Not likely without other source of income - the reason it was extended was because you support a child and that takes money and you now seem not to have a source of money.

2. If you get employment and work permit and can show that you do indeed support child there is a good possibility that your extension can be renewed but be aware support of child is likely to be checked very carefully due to past abuse reports.

3. If you can prove a foreign source of funds along with support of child it should allow another extension but without real support and some form of income do not believe you have a strong position.
