Very Confused

Featured Replies

Can somebody please give me the correct advice.

I live and work in Thailand. I work full time for a Thai company as a General Manager in Laem Chabang.

My situation is very clear, I have a work permit and every 90 days I go to Sriracha immigration for my 90 day stamp.

However, I have just recently got married (over here) to my English girlfriend. She has lived with me since Jan 2009, staying here on her "o" visa and travelling to Cambodia every 90 days.

We were married 28th December 2009 and I believe that this does have some benefits.

However, we need to know for certain . . . . does she need to return to the UK each year for her visa (I dont).

Does she still need to go to Cambodia every 90 day (I dont). Or does she just need to come with me to Sriracha?

Can somebody please give me some accurate information.

Yours deperately

Your 90 day visit seem to be to report your presence using a TM.47 form rather than getting a stamp in your passport. Correct?

If you are here on a one year extension of stay from Immigration (you fill out a TM.7 form each year and pay 1,900 baht to Immigration) for a new permitted to stay for one year your wife can obtain a matching extension of stay.

As said, providing you have annual extensions of stay your Wife can get the same as your dependent.

Yes, I just get a tear off slip that is stamped by the immigration office and the stapled into my passport, "come back in 90 days". My Non immigrant "B" visa expired in November last year but the immigration office said that doesnt apply any more.

If all my wife does is come with me to Sriracha, that's great. Thank you for your help.

She does actually have to go and apply for the extension. Non O Visa needed to start. Proof of relationship etc. Application fee is 1,900 Baht.
