Going To Kl For A Tourist Visa

Featured Replies

I've never been to KL before and will be going there soon to apply for a tourist visa. I usually go to Vientiane but don't want to take the chance of getting denied or a red stamp or both.

I need information about transportation from the airport into KL and a budget or moderately priced hotel recommendation not too far from the Thai consulate.

Can I apply directly in the Thai Consulate or do I need an agent? How long does it take?

Any other info about getting a tourist Visa in KL is appreciated

Thanks

Taxi from LCCT(low cost carrier terminal)to KLCC(kuala lumpur city centre)cost me 71RM.

Stayed in Corus Hotel in KLCC,booked on Agoda and standard room cost £29 GBP.

Can't help you about the visa as i didn't go to the embassy but have read on TV that you hand in passport before 12.30pm then pick up day after at 2.30pm same as Vientianne but more organised.

Apply morning Day 1 before 11:30 and collect afternoon Day 2 after 14:30.

The embassy officials are helpful and you can apply by yourself.
