English Translation Of Some Thai Dishes

A newly opened Thai family restaurant around the corner noticed that I could read the menu in Thai. Hence they asked me if I wanted to translate the menu in English for them. No big deal with a dictionary I thought but it is not as easy as I had hoped. Maybe some of the experts here can help me out translating the following dishes in English. And taking the first as an example. I know that is "rad na kai" but I need the English translation or description please.

1. ราดหน้าไก่

2. สุกี้แห้ง/น้ำ

3. ผัดขี้เมาไก่ (yes, it really says fried drunk, no misspelling)

4. มาม่าต้มยำไก่

5. คั่วกลิ้ง

6. แกงคั่วพริก

7. พล่ากุ้ง/กุ้งแช่นำปล่า

8. ยำรวม/ยำหมึกสด

9. ต้มยำโป๊ะแตก

10. แกงส้ม

11. แกงป่า/แกงคั่วพริก

12. แกงจืด

13. ฉู่ฉี่/พะแนง

14. ผัดฉ่า/ผัดคื่นช่าย

15. คั่วกลิ้ง (something prepared on a rotating grill, doesn't say what. is it a standard dish?)

16. ผัดเปรี้ยวหวาน/ผัดขิง

Many thanks in advance.

15. คั่วกลิ้ง = see no.5

16. ผัดเปรี้ยวหวาน/ผัดขิง = sweet and sour with chicken/seafood, stirfried chicken/pork with ginger

This was done by my cook the chicken pork choices are not on the menue in Thai because this is food done to order and Thais would know what to order. 3. ki mow refers to the fact that it is a lot of spices and chille mixed up 4. ma ma is a brand name for noodles. 11. has no coconut cream because they don't grow in the forest. 13.'creamy curry' has no cream but is thick and you get what sticks to the meat.

Now you need to get ordering and see if this is right!

Brilliant Khun tgeezer! Many thanks.

I ordered the ผัดขี้เมาไก่ yesterday. Not much difference with ผัดซีอิ้วไก่ apart from it being !%#!@## spicy!!

Going for the next experiment right now. Lunch time!

10. แกงส้ม = sour curry soup with prawns/ fish

gaeng som gets its sour-ish taste from tamarind paste, it is also usually rather spicy although it varies from restaurant to restaurant. The Southern Thai non-restaurant version can be so incredibly spicy it comes off as bitter on the tongue.
