Thailand Visa

Featured Replies

Hi,

I am flying over to Bangkok on Feb 1st, and will be in Thailand for about 3 weeks. From this I will be be heading to Laos, Vietnam, Cambodia and Malaysia before heading back into South Thailand during early-mid April. From this I will then get a flight up to China at the start of May, before heading back to Bangkok for my flight home on June 1st.

I am curious as to what type of visa I should apply for in Thailand, as I will be entering the country 3 times during my 4 month tour of South East Asia. I expect to be in the country for a total period of just over a month.

If you could provide any help on this I would be most grateful!

Many Thanks,

Owen

The best would be a multiple-entry non-immigrant "O" visa. Second best would be a double-entry tourist visa, with extensions and re-entry permit, according to itinerary, obtained from immigration once in Thailand. Apply for the visa before you travel to Thailand since you usually need it to board the plane.

I'm not sure of your nationality, but your ame suggests you do qualify for a visa exempt entry. Meaning echt time you arrive in Thaland you will get a permission to stay for 30 days if by air and 15 days if you arrive at a land border. There is no limit on the number of entries.

But get 1 tourist visa, unless you fly out of Thailand within 30 days of arrival, as the airline might not board you without a visa OR an airline ticket out of Thailand in 30 days.
