I stay on soi 6,about 2 blocks from baht buses song thou.I forget the name of the hotel. It has A fine restaurant also.

Diana Inn

216/6-20 Between soi 11-12 Second Rd. Pattaya City

Welcome Plaza Hotel

east side of 2nd Road, between intersection with South Pattaya Road, and Royal Garden Plaza Shopping Centre.

Rate would be about 950/nt. in high season.

http://www.soleildesiam.com/Rooms&Rates.htm

is a good place, on soi bhuakauw. Daily prices around 800 bath, monthly prices on the site.

Has 2 swimming-pools. Have seen many long-stayers overthere.

Is a real good place, but, not easy to book. Many times they don't respond to mails...

many times they are full.

FYI standard room is presently 2700 Baht (Agoda)!!! and they don't even have Internet in the rooms, only in public ateas.

Then you have to take compulsary meals at X-mas & New year. Then there is a surcharge of 300 Baht/night resp. 500 Baht/night over X mas and New Year!

sorry this reply ended up in the rong place (I probably hit wrong reply button).

this reply was intended for Allane, who suggested the welcome plaza hotel.

Hello

I noticed a sign outside a hotel called Siam View Residence, 800 baht a night, swimming pool and internet..

It is on soi AR, not really on a bahtbus route but about 10 minutes walk to Pattaya Klang and not far from the Best Supermarket on the corner opposite TOPS.

I`ve not stayed there nor seen any rooms, looks OK and modern from outside.

As the OP was looking for a place in January 2010 (ie. 1 year and 11 months ago) it doesn't really matter as he's probably been and gone by now.

Edit: Hang on YOU are the OP!!!!! Only just gotten round to replying now?
