Has anybody recently bought and registered a used car in Chiang Mai, if so can you please clarify what documents are required at the DLT. I believe they need copies of passport and visa (minimum Tourist visa), original or copy of lease agreement of house/apartment rental. Apart from the blue book etc. for the car is there anything they usually ask for eg. residents permit or anything like that. Thanks in advance.

You need to take your lease agreement to Immigration and get a certificate of residency, this will be required.
