Greetings

According to this morning's Sunday Bangkok Post, there are something like 40 brokers licenced to deal in gold future's contracts in LOS. As I'd like to take a punt on the glittering metal, can anyone recommend a broker in Bangkok to me.

Thanks heaps

I have been hearing that brokers here require a work permit to trade any products on the Thai futures exchange. The reason is that an account can lose more money then the amount of cash deposited in the account. So if a margin call is large enough presents a risk to the broker. Also, commissions are like 500baht for each turn on the exchanges here.

Hi KhunJake

Do you know whether a similar brokerage service is available in Singapore or elsewhere ??

Any type of futures trading is the highest risk of all types of paper investments due to the effects of the leveraging that are built into the contracts. When you win, you win big but when you lose, you can wiped out quickly.

Brokers aren't interested in whether you make or lose money on what you invest with them because, whether you win or lose, they still make their commissions on the buying and closing. Everyone I know that's used a broker has never really done very well. That's why I tell everyone I know, who wants to play around with stocks and forex, to use capitalspreads.com There's no brokers involved and you have total control over your trading resources all the time. You can do all the buying and selling yourself online while the various world markets are open. It's an online day trading platform but it's essentially betting. You can go long and short sell on most of the stocks and forex trades. You can set up a demo account to practice for awhile before you do it for real.
