due to Bul#***ters and timewasters, I'm back looking for a 4 door car or pick up, for rent for 2 months for upto 18,000 Baht, for use around Pattaya. It does not have to be new just reliable and insured. Please pm if you have something.

Regarding the law: Rental cars must have a correct Rental Car Insurance (Commercial Type), which is expensive. Anything else is illegal for rental purposes. Therefore i guess, it's not possible to find a correct insured car for 18'000 or below.

You expect to rent a car for 300 Baht / day? get real my friend, I have a one year old Toyota Altis but couldn't let you have it for less than 1,000/day

I'm not renting by the day my friend but by the month and thanks for the offer but have now got something sorted, also had the option on 2 others. Also I said it does not have to be new.

If you only have negative shit to say keep it to yourself, jeez! someone asks for help on this forum and people just come out with negativity.

Jesus Pal, where was the negativity in my post. Fact : the price you wanted to pay equated to 300/day! I offered to rent you my car at a reasonable price (certainly cheaper than a car rental agency for a similar vehicle) so I thought my post to you was helpful. Please pull your head out of your A##E

Not really reasonable. 999 a day will give me a monthly rental of a brand new triton 4 doors or small sedan

Sorry MIT but don't have my head up my arse!!! I asked for monthly long term rental not a daily rate, Im sure you are aware that by renting longer term rather than shorter time, results in cheaper daily rate.

I'm not after a year old car, any age will do, as its just for a run around. and thanks for the offer but would not pay 30,000 per month for a 1 year old Altis no matter how good a deal you feel you are helping me with!!! but thanks for your offer!

Yes, but i guess without correct Rental Car insurance. For 16 Grand a Colorado? Usually a Rental car insurance cost nearly 30 grand a year for a truck like this. I guess if you have a accident you are on your own.

Another thing: I wouldn't rent a newer or new car or Truck for that price, because, even the insurance pay in case of a accident, who gonna pay for the time, when a truck stay 2 months in a workshop for fixing. Or who pays the different between insurance value or marked value of a car, when the vehicle get stolen. Insurance pays only about 70% of the value of a car. For example a new Vios cost about 550 to 580'k plus about 25'k for insurance is almost or 600'k, but in case of theft the insurance pays only about max 450'k in the first year. So peaple who rent teir cars for 16 grand actualy can't do any business calculations, There are, anything else to spend on a car exept insurance, like maintenance, oil, repairs, parts, yearly one set of new tires, and what most of peaple forget is the Price devaluation, becsause in the end of each year, the car loses on value and this al for 16 grand rental???

How am I on my own in regards to the insurance, my 'mate' has class 1 insurance on 'his' vehicle that I 'borrowed'.

As for the rest of your rental lecture, not really my problem is it, guess i could lose my deposit but meh, no biggie, work paid it.

Yes you can "borrow" the car (if you rent it private), but in this case can't show any rental agreement if have accident, or if you do a long term, let's say like one year rental, you can own your car register the insurance direct in the customers name.
