What Kind Of Block Is This?

Recommended Posts

It looks like a "Superblock" or "Q-con" block.

That's an autoclaved, aerated concrete block.

There is a thread at the foot of this page.

Excellent material, very fast and easy to build with and suprisingly strong.

They don't use normal mortar joints.

Instead they use a thin layer of glue that is similar to tile cement.

They are made precisely to size and are easy to lay, even for amateurs.

I like to add that the insulation factor is superior to that of the brick's and the concrete block's too.
