Bad Pizza Service Experience

Just thought id like to share my experience with any Pizza lovers in Bangkok,

some of you may have ordered from <snip> they are located somewhere on Rama 4 and deliver until midnight and have a quality selection of pizzas.

I used to enjoy ordering from them a couple times with no problems, we usually order it at my client's office anyways with no problems.

Well Yesterday i was really in the mood for one of their pizzas after coming home late from work, so i told them to deliver to my new address since i have just recently moved to Naritvat soi 24 off rama 3. The operator acknowledges this change and everything seems ok.

After half an hour the deleviry lady calls me and says she cant find my condo in sukhumvit 24 and is waiting outside emporium shoping mall??? I kindly ask her why she is there? She says my address is sukhumvit 24? An obvious mistake no doubt.

So I call the <snip> and i instruct them naritivats 24 not sukhumvit 24 and please dont bring me a cold pizza otherwise im not going to pay for it (fair enough) wouldn't you say? I don't like cold pizza! The operator says "yes" "yes" which can either mean ok we will bring u a new pizza or piss off u just wasted our time even though its our mistake" ………………u decide who is wrong here??

Long story short..... I never receive my pizza, I complain through email. some owner/ manager contacts me saying Its my fault for being overly aggressive and not calming down. He pretty much insults me by saying im the third customer in all their history of operating to complain and gives me a bunch of rubbish excuses saying they were in fact never in soi 24 sukhumvit but in my soi naritivats 24. Complete and utter lie. Unless there is an Emporium in my soi id like the owner to show me where emporium is in Naritivats 24.

Instead of accepting responsibility he blames me for wasting their time and their money. (disgusting)

I'm a lawyer and over the years ive been trained to spot a lie or someone trying to cover up for their own mess and this guy tries to explain but is pathetic. He also highlights im a rare complaing customer and gives me a tough luck no pizza sort of attitude and is totally sarcastic and accepts no liability for their mistake. this is the last time i ever order from them as well as in the office.

I will stick to scoozie pizza, im just shocked how rude and pathetic their customer service is. The customer is usually rite, And this guy has some pair of balls to blame me for their mess and accuse me of being hostile and hot tempered. All I wanted was my pizza and never got it. never experienced such crap service in bangkok. Just thought id like to share my experience with any Pizza lovers in Bangkok.

Big Pizza make excellent pizzas, some of the best in Bangkok. Never had a problem with their service and they deliver to a pretty wide area. Definitely a toss up between Big Pizza and Scoozi for Bangkok's best delivery pizza.

Seeing as you are a lawyer I think you should sue them for failure to delivery your pizza. Report back on the results please as I am sure there are many of us that would interested in class-less action suit against other fast food outlets.

Not entirely correct as it actually depends where you at in BangKapi. There is Delizia out of Ramkhamheng Soi 164 covering the North of Bangkapi. Great Pizza, but a bit pricey. Second Option would be Scoozie out of their new outlet at Carrefour Romkhlao also covering part

of that area.

For Scoozie, yes I tend to agree that their Customer Service is a bit screwed up sometimes and they never, at least for us here, stick to their Delivery Times.

I dont know why the moderator has sniped the name of the restaurant. where is the freedom? is this how things usually work on Thai visa? why has the name of this place been kept a secret. its my opinion and my experience. or maybe i must go read the rules of this forum.

That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day, if a little unprofessional I might say. Constructive criticism never hurt any business, you can choose to take criticism or not but to say the customer is a con artist then you obviously deal with some shady customers in your line of work mate.

Anyway, it wouldn't take much of a detective to work out the name of the company by reading the detail of the posts. Also they used to be a sponsor on ThaiVisa which is probably a bit of an influence.

Gee, that's a shame, and you didn't pay for anything. I'm not sure why you thought it was a good idea to exchange emails with the company afterwards, but I hope it did you good. Fortunately, there are many pizza companies available.

The pizza place has sort out this issue with me and the matter has been resolved. I believe its not the owners fault but a lack of communacation with staff.

gotto go with you on that one, not all but most are con artists. Some people really do takethe piss, most of the time they shut up when I go and see them. They get off by scaring the Thais I think.

Having said that though, sometimes my staff do make mistakes. And I am fast to make sure the customer leaves happy.

Being a school principal in States isn't the same as being a retailer, although both have a lot to do with customer service.

What I found was that complaining clients were right about half the time. The rest of the time they were just complainers who weren't very honest and had few manners. Even then, we had to deal with them or get a probable call from the Superintendent or Board of Education.

Before you have the audacity to criticize another person's grammar, ask yourself the following question.

Can I form a sentence better than a five year old child?

Using cliches and/or platitudes such as "word smith", "tale" or "shocking indictment" only demonstrates your inability to communicate in written English.

But at least your spelling is correct.....but the words are really very simple!

Im sorry that English is not my first language, and i don't pratice my profession usually in English language so I sincerly appologise to the critics in this forum who don't approve of my language skills or skillfull use of words, I believe im not that terrible for a Thai who usually communicates daily in Thai language. Or is it really that crap for a non native English speaker?

You are right. I am exaggerating because it is a pet peave, however, many customers are lying their heads off.

Agree, next to Jewelry trade center, very good also Parma ham on garlic toast with some olives very good.

I have ordered from big pizza a couple of times, nice pizza IMO.Isnt he english?seemed like a nice sort bloke to me, maybe you caught him on a bad day or maybe he just thought you were rude!

Anyway im going to add my own pizza delivery grumble (New york style pizza not sure what branch though)

I had ordered from NYSP on a couple occasions prior, both took just over 1 hour to come, I live in aree and it was coming from the nana branch(I think).Not really bothered about waiting an hour.Prices(I think)large 465baht xl 565baht, I ordered a large and xl overall not a bad pizza, pretty tasty although a bit chewy and expensive.

The second time I ordered the pizza it arrived upside down all the toppings stuck to the the box, a right mess once I had scraped them back off the box and tried to spread them back on the pizza base!

It was late. me and the wife and kids were hungry so I didnt complain.

A few months back I decided to give them another chance the kids were having friends over from school and the wanted pizza.

I place the order at 7pm (I know it takes just over 1 hour for it to arrive also it had been raining so figured it would take a little longer also mentioned on the phone about the previous upside down pizza,Thought maybe I would get a discount or a free pizza but no, had to settle instead for a sorry mister!

8.30 no pizza kids start to complain figure I would give it another 30 min before I call them.

9.00 I call,they call the bike guy, he wont be long blames the rain told 10 mins,no problem

9.30 no pizza more complaining from the kids I give it another 15 mins

9.45 I call, they call him, hes lost I ask for the bike guy to call me, I went down to see the security guard for him to explain where we lived. I dont know why I really needed to do this as they had been to my condo before and its easy to find.

10.00 im with the security guard,Delivery guy calls. Security guard explains another 30 mins.

10.40 still no pizza kids starving and complaining im not angry yet but im well on my way!(if the pizza had been for me and not the kids well I may have been a tad more angry but my belly was full!

10.45 I call tell them this service is pretty shody, and ive got hungry kids they tell me hes over soy aree 3mins away from my place and will be here any minute.

10.50 I go down to the foyer of the condo to wait for the pizza.

11.15 still no pizza im angry having waited down in the foyer go back to my condo.

11.20 call them to cancel they say sorry mister offer it at half price I decline it would probably taste like crap by then.So I order macdonalds for the kids, some of them are asleep!

11.45 phone rings security food here(I think its macdonalds) and its the pizza guy with a big huge beaming smile on his face with 2 of the wettest most bedragled pizza boxes I have ever seen. I tell him I already cancelled he looks positevly shocked and goes away.

11.50 macdonalds arrive!

12.00 phone call from NYSP to say sorry mister and that the reason the pizza had been late was because the guy had fallen off his bike in the rain.So I guess everything else they had previously said was a lie!
