Non "o" Visa

Featured Replies

Hi folks,

I have just been to khon kean {where i found them very helpful!!}for a 60 day extension of my one tear non o visa based on marage to thai lady.

I was told after this i can get a 15 day extension in non khai, then go and see them again to get another 60 day extension?

Do you know if i can get a 1 year non"O" in thailand? Was told can have retirement visa but i dont have the funds in my bank or an income of 40,000 a month.

I read before here that some people go to kl for there visa? Is this a non"O"? If so where do you go? whats yhe cheapest way to get there? I live in chaiyaphum. How much does it cost? How long does it take to process?

Any advise would be great.

Many thanks!!!!

You cannot get a new visa in Thailand, only a one year extension of stay. You state you don't qualify for that, so you have to go abroad to get a new non-O visa. For a multiple non-O based on marriage your best bet is Kuala Lumphur. But you will ned to show some funds in a bankaccount.

Also take with you a copy of the marriage certificate and a copy of your wife's ID card, as well as a simple not asking for a visa for you.

I cannot see you getting a 15 day extension, maybe they meant cross the border and come back and get a 15 day visa exempt entry, which you can again extend wit 60 days based on your marriage.
