You're probably better of trying to find a business package.

Friend of mine is on a True 12 Mbps package, and youtube often still buffers.

Maxnet Premier used to be good for youtube, but not anymore.

No idea on other providers.

No matter what your package is, True limits each user to a speed per download. This is why people with 12Mb packages still download files at 50-60kb/s.The difference is that those people could download 20 files like that at a time while others can't. Additionally, there's workarounds to this, like getting download accelerators and managers, or just relying on torrents.

On the flip side, I can't say I've had many issues with youtube lately. It seems streaming still works great and has been for a while for me now. I used to get a lot of problems, but it seems the only way to fix that is to either:

a) Know someone in True who doesn't lump you in with the other plebs' bandwidth and actually tries to get your demands met

OR

:D Cause a gigantic shitstorm at one of their larger stores (Fortune), demand to see a manager, clamor about unsatisfactory speeds and call every couple of hours for a few weeks and they will most likely get someone to look at what's up and fix it, but only because they're annoyed with you. :)

I'm also with TRUE and my package is only 2Mbps/512kbps. In most cases I don't have that 'buffering' problem.

My test results are:

Download Speed: 1715 kbps (214.4 KB/sec transfer rate)

Upload Speed: 369 kbps (46.1 KB/sec transfer rate)

Latency: 133 ms

I think you should contact the customer service of TRUE. As of late, they are trying to be helpful, at least, in my case..
