I Got My Non-o, Now What?

Featured Replies

Hi again,

Ok, so now I was able to get my non-immigrant "o" with multiple entries ( :) ) Big thanks to people in here for showing me the right direction (Hull). It was very easy, except for Royal Mail screwing it up, using more than 1 month and 1 week to return my passport using registered mail service. I will foreever avoid Royal Mail in the future, but I'm glad I kept my head cool instead of buying a new passport and starting the whole process over again using courier services. I was only days from having to make this decision, but now everything is in perfect order.

But now I have some questions about it:

I understand I have to go get a new stamp every 90 days, but will I then be requiered to show up with any documentation as to why I originally obtained it? Or is it normally just to do bring my passport, some photos and money to the immigration and get a stamp there?

Does it require me to leave the country and re-enter every 90 days, like I did with my double entry tourist-visa? Or is it more like when I exten my tourist-visa for additional 30 days at an immigration office after having spent 60 days?

Sorry for asking you to answer things like this over and over again, but it will be very appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Hello,

You have to leave the country every 90 days.

the reporting to immigration is only for pepole who are on a extension of stay based on marrige, work etc.

That was quick. Thanks a lot //Mike!

Also what I hoped to hear.

But while I'm here:

If I want to just leave the country to Cambodia or Laos, I will need a re-entry visa right? Or does my multiple entries allow me to go and come back how much I want in the period stated in my passport?

You can come and go as many times as you want while your Visa is still valid. Every time you enter you will get 90 days.

Re Enter just before it expires and get another 90 days giving a total of 15 months.

You have a Non-O with Multiple entries already - so no need to apply for re-entry visa anymore.

You can go in and out of the country as many time as you wish during the validity of your visa - with a maxium of 90 day stay each time you re-enter Thailand. Remember to go out and back in again on or one day before you visa expires - this will give you an extra 90 days.
