Thai Visa In Singapore/kl

Featured Replies

In 11 year of coming to thailand i always get entry visas upon arrival at the airport, etc but this year my visa runs out on febuary 16th and i'm off to either singapore or kl and will probably try to get a visa to allow me to stay until mid may

Once in singapore or kl will the thai visa there give me a visa for 2 months or 3 months or even 2 x 2 months free of charge???

Believe you are probably on 30 day ‘visa exempt’ entry, being the stamp given by immigration at the airport (which is not a visa).

A single entry tourist visa, which can be issued by any consulate and is currently free, provides a 60 day permission to stay on entry, which can be extended for 30 days at Thai immigration with application form/passport photo/fee of 1,900 baht.

A double entry tourist visa, with extensions and a border run in the middle, would give you nearly 6 months stay. Within the region you would need to obtain from the consulate at Vientiane (Laos). This particular visa is free at this consulate too.

If you have your onward airline ticket, then Singapore is a faster place to get it (fewer people applying), otherwise, try to get it from KL. Both will give you a single entry tourist visa valid for 3 month with 60 days stay.
