Sorry to be an ahole, but why not take a walk to local shops all over the place selling mops? Why buy a mop on Lazada? But let me finish on a positive note. Thanks for the heads up on fake goods.

You just gotta buy from the official company stores and then no problems.

Im tired of them advertising, you go through th whole process and your witing for it to be dispathed- 5 days later still nothing, chase them up "sorry no have" ! seen this so many times of late.

Lazada had a shipping issue in my area, everytime the item was sent by "LEX" thats Lazadas own shipping, they wouldnt deliver! kept saying no one home etc - I had to go to the warehouse and get it, staff there said "dont buy on Lazada until end of July- wont get delivered". I switched most of my online stuff to Shopee now instead.

And the USB flash drives or TF/SD cards which say 128gb but are only 16Gb.
Look closely at the fonts.
And Lazada doesn't care.

I once bought a Samsung phone on Lazada. It was a genuine Samsung phone, but the serial number indicated it was intended for the Korean market. It had also been rooted and the rootkit couldn't be removed. The seller accepted it for return.

I bought what was advertised as a Seagate hard drive. It would not re-format for use with Time Machine on my Mac and became completely un-useable. A serial number check returned no result. It was a fake. The seller accepted it for return.

No more electronics from Lazada for me.

I posted this elsewhere the other day.

Counterfeit is a real problem in Thailand, maybe the whole of Asia.

Shopee is full of counterfeit.

Currently I'm in search of 12V2A DVE adapters, and since I have the genuine ones, it easy for me to see the counterfeit.

Out of 10 random sellers I have found just ONE that sells the genuine stuff, so most likely there are many more.

The first 3 orders were returned, now I ask them in the chat to post a picture of the item they gonna send me, and 80% fails straight away already.

If it looks near genuine, I ask them to put it on a weighing scale, and that is where the other 19% fails. Unbelievable

You can prevent the worst scams by bying through Lazmall shops only. Not every one who lives in walking distance to a mall, and Lazada is great for anything and everything, you just have to know where you buy from and the risk if not.

No Brand Name = red flag

Some products have no brand name.

All products are supposed to have a brand name, don't they?

I'm sure the manufacturers would sue if products attached a fake product to their brand name, even if Lazada does nothing.

This one is LazMall and gives the Brand Name:

Paus Biru ... these guys know what they're doing!

The other day I was looking for Whey protein isolate, and currently Shopee is full of counterfeit.

You think this is genuine> Cost double from legit source.

https://shopee.co.th/product/1724775133/50604924357

Or this one, read the reviews where is already said it's milk powder, yet Shopee just keeps it listed.

https://shopee.co.th/product/966559623/29768621088

I have recently reported 3 counterfeit DVE adapter sellers to shopee, with clear evidence. They say the item was removed, in fact they removed just one, and pretend they didn't receive the complaint of the other 2, yet all order numbers, product codes and evidence of all 3 was in the single report.

If you want a decent quality mop in Thailand, you need to bring it from overseas, or order it on Amazon.

Ask georgieboi to bring one next visit!

No original mops' were harmed that's the main thing

But your diligence in reviewing 5,000 reviews will undoubtedly earn you 5 baht off your next purchase if you order is over 2,000 baht and you order is completed in the next 7.2 seconds🤔

Had a couple of bad buys such as fake trainers, a fake Nokia phone a few years ago., but most has been OK, or I half guessed it was likely to be fake because of really cheap price.

Last week bought a gallon of Dettol off Lazada. Doesn't smell the same, and doesn't turn water white when mixed together. as real Dettol does.

Anything expensive, safer to go through Official shop. Even ratings can be faked.

Or maybe you take cleaning a bit too seriously.

What's a "fake" mop anyway? What was it made of?

Since you don't post a link to the product, I think all they know they are doing is ripping you off.

It will stop eventually, but that is another discussion.

Take everything in life seriously, shopping, exercise, diet, cleaning is just another thing that is best done before than later with the right tools.

Not sure what you mean.

All brands have a formula on how they price their products or they risk going out of business to competitors.

I just posted links to Lazmall for same product brand at a fifth of the price.

If you don't post a link we can't compare, and your post is just your usual bait.

The point is not to get the best deal on a mop.

I was making the point to only buy products with Brand Names.

There are many ways to make a poor quality product look like a good one. One warning sign is when there are no real product photos, only AI generated images. Another is when the product is made to resemble a well known brand but uses cheap materials. Also check the specifications carefully. Scammers often copy and paste descriptions with incorrect or contradictory specifications.

No genuine customer photos or reviews.

Brand names that are slightly misspelled or imitate well known brands.

Specifications that contradict themselves or contain obvious errors.

Prices that are unrealistically low compared to similar products.

New stores with few sales or very little history.

Generic descriptions copied from other listings.

Fake discounts showing huge price reductions from inflated “original” prices.

Why go out shopping when you can buy stuff and get it delivered, it's like getting presents all week. I did end up buying a HISO Scotch Brite mop and bucket from Makro

Yes but not always, for example scotchbrite official store looks fake, maybe just a name
