Http://www.real-helmets.com/ Visors Help

Featured Replies

I have been looking into purchasing a helmet for myself from http://www.real-helmets.com/. I am a bit confused on the optional visors listed under the parts section of the website. The optional/replacement visors for the helmets seem to come in three colors. They translate from Thai to english as Clear, Mercury and Film. What the heck is Mercury? Can anyone explain what is what! I understand clear but the last two I am not clear what they are.

Well 'clear' is the only one that you can legally use on your bike. film would be a tint and mercury would be the mirror style

I might add that the smoked one (that's what they called it in the shop when I bought one) is a very subtle tint. The guy in the shop told me that the police wouldn't do you for that and whilst I wasn't taking his word for it I can imagine that would be the case as you can hardly notice it. I haven't heard of police stopping people for that recently anyway.

Thank you for clearing this up. Their helmets come with clear and so I bought online one of each of the tinted visors since here in Issan everyone's helmet is tinted and they do not care.
