Can anybody point me in the direction were to buy a reasonable priced laptop battery.

They have a shop on the fourth floor devoted to lap-top batteries. (Some Chinese copies). The originals you can get at the shops on the higher floors.

i am not sure where. but i will tell you how to use your old battery for another 3 months time.

place the old battery on zip lock back. make sure water will not get in there. Place it on freezer. 24 hours later take it out, wipe any wet surface. let it site for a while to get the battery into a normal temperature.

recharge the battery as usual. Your battery will back to normal in 3 months time and it will start to go wrong again. You may repeat thsi method for another 3-4 cycles. I can guarantee the effectiveness for this method.

There is an scientefic explanation fot this method but i am too lazy to explain it to you. this method is 100% safe. You could use this method to anykind of rechargeabble battery. from mobile phone to lap top or whatever rechargable battery you have.
