No details of any progress, no questions allowed from the press, just a public relations win for the mass murderer from Russia.

I never realized how puny Putin is! US President is no towering man (despite his  lies claims of height/weight), but he dwarfed that Russian criminal as they walked down that MOST undeserved red carpet.

Actually, Napoleon was about 5'6". Putin is not that tall. Putin does have special shoes made that have built-in lifters of at least 2" (5 cm). Trump is barely 6', especially as he is shrinking with age...NOT THERE, you pervs...he's already at a Planck Length there, as Stormy said. Both "men" likely suffer from the same insecurities, as an impish Universe made both come up short. One doesn't need Freud to explain why they act the way they do.

 

Both of those guys are likely on the Psychopath spectrum, too, the one difference being that Putin has a decent IQ.

 

Putin also won this meeting, as he gets prestige and gave up nothing in return. Trump looks impotent, and Putin just used him. The world looks and thinks "Don't send a child to do a man's job", as the coveted Nobel, already on Obama's shelf, slips ever farther from Trump's tiny hands..

 

I suspect in the next WH presser, if Spokesperson Leavitt is reminded about "I can end the war in an afternoon", her response will be (with a clear look of over-the-top disgust), "Your question is so typically unfair from you Fake News people; the President never said WHICH afternoon."

Red carpet for a war criminal? Trump was submissive to Putin right from the start. He surrendered US position of strength and brinksmanship by exiting AirForce One before Putin. Why he needed to clap feebly like a trained seal when greeting Putin. No deal as expected. Meanwhile Kyiv was bombarded. A disgraceful non event.

At least they cancelled the planned multi-hour one on one between Trump and Putin. Maybe somebody realized Trump is too easily played.

Yes, in the made-for-television movie they will eventually make of Trump's presidential life, in the episode covering this Anchorage 'summit' and the 3-hour one-on-one meeting, there will be the scene with people in the backroom, behind the one-way mirror, screaming into their walkie-talkies, "Dammit! We've been played!! Get our man out of there!!! NOW!!!!"
