Mounting Alternatives

I have a Nuvi 200W that I use in my truck. I've been using the suction cup mount, but that no longer works as the rubber suction cup has perished. I've had no luck in getting a replacement cup, so I was wondering what my options are for fixing the GPS. What are friction pads? Would one of these solve my problem?

If you can get a friction pad, they work great and are much better than the suction cups. You can just pick up the whole thing and stuff it into the glove box.

RAM mounts are heavy-duty. I've been using their suction mount to hold my camera to the side window. No problems. You can get a RAM specifically for your brand and model - I use one for my Nuvi on the windshield; pop the Nuvi out when you leave the car, pop it back in when you return.

There's evidently a dealer in BKK somewhere, but I got my stuff shipped from the factory in the US.

Gadgetrend has RAM mounts;

Thanks for all your replies. I ended up going for a walk round Zeer at Rangsit. No real options were available, so I ended up with a 100 baht Universal holder. I'll keep that until it breaks (I give it a week, maybe two) and then i'll go for one of the sturdier options.
