The only thing that having this on the same day will mean is that you can wear red during the day and evening without being considered politically aligned.

I will be aiming for both. We are going down to Prachuap on Friday for a long weekend.

As it is Saturday night just before Chinese New Years and Valentines day I expected a crowd in Chiang Mai's China town tonight, but it was relatively quiet. Maybe it will be more festive tomorrow night (Sunday). I'll try to stay away from the bars I usually visit. Otherwise it will get too expensive for me. I can't refuse a pretty friend who asks me to buy her a Valentines drink.

Luck is something that ebbs and flows in life. You have to learn to live it up during the good times and prepare for the bad. I gave my sweety an extra 500 baht today as a Valentines present. It's cheaper than taking her out shopping, and she prefers it that way. I'm a devious "cheap charlie" at heart.
