Upgrading Household Pump

Featured Replies

Well I had talked myself into buying the Grundfos CH4-50PT at around 15,000 baht.

Then today I went by the shop I have been using for over 20 years. He was trying to sell me a Makita but said it needed a surge tank.

I am sure the Grundfos is a spectacular pump. But I was able to pick this one up for 4,800 baht. They had this pump squirreled away in the back. I just screwed my existing controller into the top. Pretty sure Masterflow has recently bought out Calpeda who make GREAT pumps.

Good luck and lets us know down the road how this pump works out? Saved quite a lot of baht.

The pump it replaces.

Spec on the new pump. Draws 5 amps. Ouitput 550 watt. Rated at 1 horsepower. The controller has anti run dry feature & the max pressure is adjustable (inside the cover), has built in non return valve & status lights & reset. By reusing my old controller I saved 2200 baht.

Currently making 4 kg no problem.

3.8 meter*3/ hour works out to 63 liters per minute. btw - this is for a 2 storey house with 4 br 4 bath.
